How it Works

How It Works

If you're looking for discounts from your favorite stores, there are several different approaches you can take. Here's a breakdown of the different types of coupons and discounts you can use to save on your purchases.

Online Coupon Codes

Online coupon codes are used exclusively for orders made on the internet, and don't apply to in-store purchases. To find coupon codes, enter a store name in the search bar at the top of the web page. Once you find the coupon code for a purchase you'd like to make, place your order at the store website and enter the code at checkout. After you've entered your code, the store will calculate the discount and new total. Online coupon codes are always free and instantly redeemable, and because a high volume of merchants now operate exclusively online, eliminating the costs of operating retail stores, they can afford to offer an abundance of online codes to customers.

Printable Coupons

Printable coupons are used to receive discounts on in-store purchases, and are also always free. While you can find them online, printable coupons must be printed and presented at the retail store where you make your purchase. Printable coupons are valid for an extensive range of retail stores across the country, including grocery stores, drug stores, and department stores.

Grocery Coupons

Grocery coupons work similarly to printable coupons. Just select the coupons you'd like to use, print them, and present them at the appropriate grocery store.

Free Shipping

Most online stores will offer limited-time or ongoing free shipping deals. A free shipping offer waives the cost of shipping for an order you place online, but usually does not affect the cost of the item otherwise. Free shipping deals can be activated in a number of ways: by minimum purchase, online coupon code, or a combination of the two. Free shipping deals usually do not apply to in-store purchases.
